Lending criteria
What we lend
Highcrest considers every type of private loan we can lawfully underwrite: personal, business, and real-estate-secured. Ontario mortgages are submitted through a licensed mortgage brokerage. Highcrest is the prospective lender — not the brokerage.
Unsecured personal loans
Simple volume product — relationship-based personal lending tailored to circumstances, not a consumer rate-shop.
- Case-by-case structuring
- Repayment capacity required
- Subject to Canadian interest and disclosure rules; counsel reviews fee stacks before any commitment
- Discreet, direct principal review
Unsecured business loans
Working capital and growth financing for established businesses — cash flow, character, and exit.
- Operating and growth uses
- PPSA personal-property security may be considered where appropriate (equipment, vehicles, inventory, receivables) — not real-estate mortgages
- Structured as unsecured credit; PPSA personal-property security may apply where appropriate
- Direct principal dialogue
Real-Estate-Secured Business Financing
Highcrest Private Capital may consider business financing secured by commercial, residential or other real property. Highcrest acts as a prospective lender and is not a mortgage brokerage. Every Ontario mortgage transaction is submitted, arranged and processed through a duly licensed mortgage brokerage or another entity exempt from the applicable licensing requirement. The responsible brokerage and its licensing information will be identified before the formal mortgage application proceeds. All financing is subject to underwriting, property valuation, legal review and final approval.
We do not publish rate tables, guarantee approval, or claim licences we do not hold. Indicative outlines, when provided separately, are not commitments to lend.
